Earning an Online Degree to Further Your Career

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

With anything in life there are challenges and obstacles one must overcome to be successful. An online college degree program is no different. It’s important to do your due diligence and really think things through before signing up for any particular program online. I mean, with all the degrees to pick from on the internet today, which one is going to be the most beneficial to you?

No matter what college program you enroll in, whether it’s an online business degree, online teaching degree, or online nursing degree – every program is going to take at least some time commitment. Some online schools may require more time to complete than others and depending on the degree, well, strap on your seat belt because the ride could be intense! Most people who get involved with degree programs online are usually very busy and can only take classes from the comfort of their own home. Some degree courses that are perfect to learn from home usually consist of anything related to online business degree programs, online teaching degree courses and online nursing degree classes that you can take during your spare time. Especially if you’re a busy executive, have a family, or just can’t squeeze in time to physically make it to an actual college or university to take classes, the online degree arena is ideal.

With that said, many have stated that online classes are cheaper! With the convenience of completing courses at your own pace, online degree programs are handy because you’re saving all kinds of money on gas, textbooks, and college housing. However, there is one absolute necessity of taking classes online, and that is a dependable internet connection. I don’t care if you’re enrolled in an online business degree, online teaching degree, and/or online nursing degree program – without a great internet connection, it will be impossible to plug into a system and take the necessary classes to get that degree online.

What to Look for in Alternatives to McAfee Secure

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

McAfee Secure has gotten itself a reputation for website security, and it’s probably one of the most recognized names around. That doesn’t mean it’s the best package, however. You can find more affordable alternatives to McAfee Secure, including some that are even better. Let’s compare McAfee Secure to other website security programs such as Hacker Safe and other application penetration testing services. After our due diligence, we can then consider what’s essential in regards to a security program.

Let’s start with cost. McAfee Secure can run you nearly $2,000 a year. You can probably find a more comparable package for as little as $500 with an application penetration testing and hacker safe type of program. The world of website security has gotten considerably competitive, which drives prices down. At the same time, it’s important to understand what you’re getting for the money.

First, let’s discuss where McAfee Secure fails. For starters, there is no easy sign up process, nor is there a quick approval given for websites. By contrast, you can probably find a competitor that makes signing up a cinch, and you won’t have to spend days or weeks wondering if your website is secure. Always look for a company that offers quick approval, a feature you won’t get with McAfee Secure.

In a website security program, you need security checks to be conducted at least daily. This is a service offered by Hacker Safe, and it is essential. Shop around, but make sure daily security checks are offered by anyone you end up choosing. Who’s to say your website is secure if it’s not checked every day?

A security seal is also essential in any website security program. If you don’t have one, what’s the point?  It’s not like your customers can just take your word for it. Ideally, you should offer a security seal that is PCI certified. Without proper certification, how can you prove your security is valid? While McAfee Secure offers a security seal, they don’t offer one that is PCI certified.

CISSP security and support is also essential in a website package. While McAfee Secure offers it, not many do. If you’re looking for an alternative to McAfee, remember to ask if they’ve got CISSP security and support.

Don’t assume high rollers only like McAfee Secure; many companies are now shopping around for the best deals available and that might mean looking into a Hacker Safe or application penetration testing company that offers the best package to get the job done. More than likely, there is a cheaper alternative if you take a look. Try browsing the Internet. You’ll be surprised by what you come up with. In a global market, website security has grown into a buyer’s market. Do your research, and you can likely get a package better than McAfee Secure, at a fraction of the price. Who said reliable website security had to break your budget?

Is Stock Market Technical Analysis Useful Or A Hoax?

Friday, August 6th, 2010

Investing in the stock market is incredibly difficult to do, or at least difficult to do good! Make even a simple mistake and you can see many years of hard work and careful savings disappear faster than the blink of an eye! For this reason, it is not difficult to understand why investors as many investors, professionals and amateurs, individual investors like you and I are trying to find methods of commerce on the deck in our favor stack. We all wish we had a magic crystal ball or tea leaves tell us special, is the future. But these tools are tools of the Dark Ages. Today, we live in an age of computers, where our tea technology and things like tables and technical analysis of stock exchange. But technical analysis really works? This is exactly what I discuss in this article today. Firstly, what is technical analysis? To make it simple to define, is the use of a shared history charts the power to predict, will act as the same strain, tomorrow or further down the line. It uses a very dainty patterns and apparent hard math and statistics (and statistical software to give), “signals” that are supposedly connected to one leg and you had to provide a certain percentage. Many traders live and die in these tables (they call themselves “chartist”). But this method really works? I have the answer. College researchers have answered this question long ago. The answer is a resounding NO! Despite this, the mapping industry alive. . . . It “seems” like it should work, but not for a specific reason. Well, actually, for two reasons. The first main reason why it does not work is called transaction costs. graphic works. It shows you ways to make a penny here and a penny there, almost guaranteed. But it works not considered as transaction costs. You could guarantee 12 cents to trade to make, but it costs $ 9 in the trading of shares in your brokerage account online. In addition, having to buy several times earnings and sell you hundreds of times to earn a few cents per transaction. Again, the problem of transaction costs ate profits. The second reason not Draw esoteric. If someone can read a map and buy a certain stock, what the table is based, then suddenly you have a lot of people buy all the same actions for the same reason. This mass movement of ordinary purchase of the changing demand and supply and price of the shares of its own, you throw your cards planned! It’s like when the world discovered that the stocks are down just before Christmas. Investors have seen and began shortly before Christmas to buy if they “knew back” stocks. Why not start with the fact that their own purchase prices started to go around Christmas. The same problem Chartists face. So there you have it… Stay away from the technical analysis and all the Chartists!
